Douglas DC3.
Ansett, and Trans Australia Airlines (now Qantas) based in Adelaide, South Australia.
Also a lot of time was spent recording data on special mapping flights in the vast interior bush on the DC3 VH-DAS..
The Douglas DC6B was used by Swissair on medium and long distance Middle and Far East flights. It really struggled taking off from Karachi in the heat with a big fuel load.
It was very satisfying to get back to jets with the Sud Est Caravelle.
