Living TRAVEL - TAHITI

Around Papeete, the capital

Papeete is a unique city, which is
home to French  Polynesia's capital and centre of business. It's population is
reported to be between 90 -120,000 people, depending on where the city limit
is defined, accounting for well over half of the Island of Tahiti's  overall
population of 180,000 people

Depending on the kind of accommodation you desire, around Papeete you will find many choices to suit your needs. In fact, most of these beautiful resorts are just as fancy as some NewYork, Paris and Chicago hotels. There are
accommodations ranging from plush lagoon-side resorts, hidden  guest houses of the interior and quiet family pensions. For those travellers on a budget, there are many camp grounds on the island."
